WHAT IS IHSS PROGRAM?

In-Home Support Services (IHSS) lets you direct and manage the attendants who provide your personal care, homemaker and health maintenance services, with the added support of an agency. Through IHSS, you are empowered to select, train and manage attendants of your choice to best fit your unique needs or you may delegate these responsibilities to an Authorized Representative.

WHO QUALIFIES?

CHCBS in Colorado is an In-Home Support Service (IHSS) and Community Based Service for children who are in need of medical care and who without this medical care would be at risk for hospitalization or other institutional care. This Medicaid Waiver Program is for children (18 years and under) with chronic health needs. Your child, or family member must be in need of long-term medical care

CHCBS services in Colorado include the following:

• Bathing, skin care, hair care, nail care, mouth care, shaving, dressing, feeding, ambulation, assistance with exercise, transfers, positioning, bladder care, bowel care, respiratory care.
